You will receive this error when trying to export values in your index files that Windows see's as invalid file names.   This is usually caused by these characters:  / * ? " < > |   This could also happen when choosing a delimiter between the index values. They cannot be illegal characters either.   This could also be caused by a corrupt data group. Always try to run data group maintenance before you attempt an export.
