Information that is stored on a CD-ROM disk is in a read-only format. In order for PaperFlow to open a data group, PaperFlow requires read and write access to the DATAGRP.MDB database.

1. To open a data group that has already been burned to CD, the data group must be copied to the hard drive and the read-only properties removed the database. To remove the read-only properties on a database, you will need to open the DATAGRP folder in Windows Explorer, right-click the DATAGRP.MDB and select Properties. Uncheck the Read-only option and Save.
2. If you plan on modifying any images in the data group, then you will also need to remove the read-only properties on all of the image files as well. If you are using Windows 2000 or higher, go into Windows Explorer and right-click the DATAGRP folder and go to properties and turn off the Read-only properties. When you Save the changes, Windows will prompt you to "Apply Changes to this folder only" or "Apply Changes to this folder, subfolders, and files." If you select the second option, Windows will turn off the read-only properties on all of the databases and tiff files. If you do not have Windows 2000 or higher and need to remove all of the read-only properties, then follow these steps:
3. Copy the DATAGRP folder from the CD to the hard drive.
4. Enter the MS-DOS prompt and go to the data group location.
5. Type: attrib -r *.* /s   this removes any read-only attributes from all files including subdirectories.

Enter PaperFlow and locate the data group using the Locate command
