How to print background images when printing E-Forms

Summary
By default, browsers have disabled the ability to print background images to save on ink and make more legible printouts. The setting that disables printing of background images is part of the browser settings, it is not in PaperVision Enterprise. If a user has designed an e-form using a background image, the background will not print unless the ability to print background images has been enabled.
This affects both the Browser-Based Viewer (BBV) and the PaperVision Web Assistant (PVWA).
Notes:
- These steps should only be used when a user needs to print an e-form that contains a background image
- If the background Image was added to the e-form using the <IMG> control, then the below steps do not need to be used when printing
- If the background Image was added to the e-form using any other method, then these steps should be used to print an e-form
- The setting to print background images is not persisted by the browser so these steps will need to be repeated each time the browser is restarted when printing e-forms that have a background image
The following steps were written using IE9 and may vary depending on the browser.
To print background images in the Browser-Based Viewer:
- Open the document in the BBV
- Click Print to display the print window
- Expand the browser’s Tools menu, highlight Print and select Page Setup
- Enable “Print Background Colors and Images” and click OK
- Click Print to print the document.
To print background images in the PaperVision Web Assistant:
- Open the document in the PVWA viewer
- Right-click on the form displayed in the viewer and select Print Preview
- Click the Page Setup button
- Enable “Print Background Colors and Images” and click OK
